Fibromyalgia is a disorder
characterized by chronic widespread pain and a heightened pain in response to

The cause of fibromyalgia is unknown. However, the disorder is commonly
associated with psychiatric conditions. The disorder is frequently misdiagnosed
as far as symptoms overlap with those of many other conditions.
Statistically, women are more likely to develop fibromyalgia than men.
